Ask Your Questions

If you could ask Jesus any question what would it be? The possibilities are endless. How did you feed the five thousand? Why is there so much pain and suffering in our world? Do you really care about me? In many ways, these questions are focused on figuring out who Jesus is and whether we will surrender to Him. Is Jesus really God? Why would He die for me? Wasn’t there another way for me to be right with God? I believe that God loves our questions. When we are asking our questions, we are engaging Him. This is what God wants. He wants a relationship with us. If you have been around a 3-year-old asking “why”, you know that questions are natural. God is more than capable of handling our questions. There are so many questions to ask. How did Jesus do all those miracles? How does Jesus change my life? How does God save me from my sins? What changes in me, when I give my life to Christ? Why is surrender so hard?

What are your questions? Do you feel the freedom before God to ask your question? I believe God wants to hear from us even if we are not certain. In John 4 Jesus dealt graciously with the Samaritan woman at the well as she learned about Him. In John 3 Nicodemus has many questions and Jesus carries on an extended conversation with him. The reality is that Nicodemus was not saved that day, but over time became convinced Jesus really was God. (John 7:50, John 19:38-40) I want to encourage you to ask God your questions. He is gracious and patient with us. He knows that we are made of the dust of the earth and that we are slow to learn and listen. So, what is your question?
