God Loves You
Have you stopped to realize that God loves you? Please understand the profound nature of this idea. God loves you. God loves you at your best, but He also loves you at your worst. God does not keep His love for you a secret either. Romans 5:8 says, God has demonstrated or proven His love toward us, while we were still sinners Christ died for us. Jesus gave His life so that we would have the opportunity to know the love of God. Jesus endured great abuse and rejection so that you could see, know and experience the love of God. The whole reason for the cross was that you and I would have the opportunity to be made right with God. His love of us knows no bounds. Jesus tells a parable of a son who took money from his father, went and lived life his way and then ended up broke with no friends. The father in the story is constantly looking and waiting for his son to come home. When the son comes to his senses and goes home to confess his mistakes, the father restores him. He pours out his love lavishly giving him his position as son again even though he did not deserve it. In Luke 15, the father teaches us about the love of God for sinners like me and you. Do you know that God loves you? In John 3:16 we are told that because of God’s love for us, that He sent His only son to die for us, so that if we would believe we would be saved. Please realize how amazing God’s love for us is. He loves us in our brokenness. He goes to great lengths to demonstrate His love and when we respond to him, He extravagantly pours out His love on us. Please know that you are loved today. Please respond to God’s love in worship of Him.
