Joanie Fowler (Asst. Director)
Joanie was born and raised in Forsyth County. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Early childhood / Special Education from North Georgia College and State University and has taught in the public school system. She has been a lead teacher for our 2 and 3 year old classes here at Concord Preschool. This will be her sixth year in the office as the assistant director. Joanie and her husband, Allen, have a daughter and a son. They attend Concord Baptist Church.

Shannon Gilbert (Director) - Shannon was born in Decatur, GA; raised in Forsyth County. She received a Bachelor’s of Business and Administration Degree in Finance from the University of Georgia and Georgia State
University. Shannon and her husband, Tommy, have a son and a daughter. She has served as director of the Concord Baptist Church Preschool since August 2004. This will be her eightteenth year here at Concord. Shannon and her family attend Concord. She also provides financial administrative support to the church.
Rochelle Looney - (2 yr old 2 day lead teacher.) -Rochelle was born in Newnan, GA; raised in Woodbury, GA. She received her degree in Applied Graphics and worked in various libraries until she decided to become a stay at home mom to her daughter and twin sons. Her family moved to Dawsonville, GA over 10 years ago and became active members of Concord Baptist Church. She felt led by God to work with children and started substitute teaching eventually becoming Concord Preschool’s 2 year old Lead Teacher.

Hannah Thompson (2's assist.)
Hannah has over a decade of experience in working with children. She loves playing, being creative, encouraging, soothing fears, and making connections with the children. Prior to the working at Concord Weekday Preschool, her last position with Pre-K children was as the assistant and eventual lead teacher of Concord Baptist Church Preschool Choir. She is looking forward to many new things she will learn this year because learning never stops!

Ann-Marie Arnold (2 yr 3 day Lead)
Ann-Marie was a stay at home mom for the past 16 years. She and her husband have 3 boys and are active members of Local Church. Ann-Marie volunteers in the children's ministry with infants, preschoolers, and elementary age students. She has a B.A. in middle grades education, but enjoys being with the younger children. She joined the Concord Preschool family in 2020 as a floater and is excited to move into a lead role for the 2021-2022 school year.
Margaret Burgess (2 yr 3 day Assistant) -Margaret kept children in her home for twenty one years before coming to work here at Concord Preschool in 2009. She has lived in Forsyth County almost her entire life. Margaret and her husband, Mike, have two grown children and five grandchildren. This is her thirteenth year at Concord Preschool. Her family attends Concord Baptist Church.

Amanda Astin (3 yr 3 dy lead teacher) -Amanda and her family relocated to Forsyth County 6 years ago from Lizella, Georgia where she and her husband grew up. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Georgia College and State University. After graduating from college, Amanda was a paraprofessional for 4th and 5th grade and later served as a Paralegal Specialist for Butler Snow LLP. After having children Amanda became a stay at home mom until two years ago when she began working as a floater/substitute at Concord. Amanda's children attended Concord from ages 2-5. Amanda and her husband, Wesley, volunteer in the preschool ministry at their church First Redeemer.

Brandy Jennings (3 yr 3 dy Lead Teacher) -Brandy is starting eighteenth school year here at Concord Preschool and she has taught all of the age groups. Her and her husband, Brian, have three sons and are members of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church.

Camryn Wilkerson- (2 yr old 2 day asst. teacher.)
Camryn was born and raised in Forsyth County. She lives with her husband, David, and two daughters. After having children she decided to become a stay at home mom to her girls. Camryn and her family attend Browns Bridge Church where she worked with elementary aged students in Upstreet. Camryn realized that she wanted to work with children and joined Concord Preschool as a floater assistant in 2021 eventually stepping into the temporary role of lead teacher in the 2 yr. 2 day class.. Camryn loves Jesus, family, and travel. She is excited to share the love of Jesus with your sweet babies this year.
Sarah Sloop (Pre-K Lead Teacher) - Sarah graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Child Development. She moved to Georgia to start a Transitional Kindergarten program at a small private school. After 7.5 years, she became a stay at home mom for her 3 children who are all Concord graduates! Sarah is very excited to be working in Concord's Pre-K. She and her husband of 12 years have been longtime members of North Point and Brown’s Bridge Community Churches.

Sarah Oster (Lead Pre-K Teacher) -Sarah was born in Texas and moved to Forsyth County in 2016. She received her Social Work degree with an emphasis on child welfare and development at Midwestern State University. She received her Early Childhood Education Basics Certification from Lanier Technical school in 2018. Sarah is excited to be teaching in our Pre-K and this is her fifth year here with us at Concord. Sarah, Ted, and their two children attend Mountain Lake Church in Dawsonville where Sarah and her husband volunteer teaching the elementary kids church.

Carrie Anderson (Lead Pre-K Teacher) -Carrie is a Dawson County native. She attended Gainesville State College and graduated with a Paralegal degree. After years of working she decided to become a stay at home mom. She enjoyed teaching and working with children so much she started substitute teaching with us at Concord. This is her fifth year here. Carrie is excited to be teaching Pre-K again this school year. Carrie and her husband, Brooke, have a daughter and a son and they attend Bethel Baptist Church in Dawsonville.

Becky Haas (Music Teacher) -Becky graduated from Kentucky Christian University with a degree in Business Administration. She has been married for 12 years to her husband, Brian, and they have 3 children. They moved to Georgia 6 years ago to launch Mountain Lake Church Dawson. Becky is excited to be teaching music and chapel again this school year where their children have attended.

Laura Ray Willems (Floater Assistant)
Laura lived in Florida before coming to Georgia. She worked as a paraprofessional at Belmont Academy Charter School where she worked with Kindergarten - 2nd graders. She enjoys working with children because teaching brings her joy. Laura and her family attended Christian Fellowship Church in Florida where they were active members. She joined Concord Preschool in 2021 as a floater assistant.
Julie was born in Kentucky and attended EKU. She and Eric have been married for 21 years and have lived in Forsyth County the last 16 years. Together they have three daughters; the middle is a Concord graduate and the youngest is finishing her last year in Pre-K. Julie has held various professional positions, but choosing to homeschool her children has brought a love for teaching and learning. Julie is excited to step into a support role here at Concord to serve the teachers, students, and families. Julie and her family attend Local Church of Forsyth. Julie's family loves fame nights, hosting gathering, and sharing meals with friends.
