Shannon Gilbert
Preschool Director
Shannon was born in Decatur, Georgia, and raised in Forsyth County. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance through studies at the University of Georgia and Georgia State University.
Since August 2004, Shannon has faithfully served as the Director of the Concord Baptist Church Preschool, where she is passionate about providing a nurturing, Christ-centered environment for young children. In addition to leading the preschool, she also provides financial administrative support for the church.
Shannon and her husband, Tommy, have two adult children and are excited to welcome their first grandchild soon. Shannon and her family are active members of Concord Baptist Church, where they enjoy worshiping and serving together.

Camryn Wilkerson
Office Assistant
Camryn was born and raised in Cumming, Ga. After graduation she moved to Charleston, SC where she met her now husband, David. They have been married 12 years this September and have 2 daughters, Ashtyn(11) and Chandler(9). They are lovers of travel, but spend most of their days on the soccer fields and their nights being lazy, watching movies and playing board games. Camryn and her family are members here at Concord Baptist Church and are heavily involved. She started working at Concord after falling in love with the program when her youngest was enrolled in the 3's class. Camryn has assisted and/or lead all age groups at Concord Preschool. She is excited to begin a new role as the Preschool Office Assistant.

Mary Claire Dooley
Music Teacher
Mary Claire Dooley is the music teacher and chapel leader at the preschool. Before being at Concord, She had the joy of serving as an elementary special education teacher, and has always had a passion for helping young children grow and learn. She is especially excited to teach kids about Jesus through music—using instruments, singing, and movement to bring His love to life in ways they can feel and enjoy. Mary-Claire and her husband are blessed to be part of the church family at Concord, and love that their daughter attends the preschool as well. She thinks it’s a gift to be part of this community both as a teacher and a parent! She looks forward to a wonderful year of learning and praising Jesus!

Ann-Marie Arnold
Pre-K Teacher
Ann-Marie was a stay at home mom to her boys. She and her husband have 3 boys and are active members of Local Church Dawson. Ann-Marie volunteers in the children's ministry with infants, preschoolers, and elementary age students. She has a B.A. in middle grades education, but enjoys being with the younger children. She joined Concord Preschool in 2020 and has been a lead teacher of all of the age groups at Concord Preschool.

Whitney Elrod
Pre-K Teacher
Whitney is originally from South Carolina, but moved to Georgia after marrying her Georgia native husband, Zack. She has a Bachelor Degree in Sports Management from Erskine College. She and her husband have four children. All but their oldest are Concord graduates. She and her family are active members of Vision Baptist Church. During her spare time Whitney enjoys cooking and baking, playing games with her family, and sewing. Her family is an open foster home. Whitney taught one of our 2 year old classes last school year and is excited to lead our Pre-K class this year.

Tammy Wells

Ms. Tammy grew up in Cumming, Georgia, and now resides in Gainesville with her husband, Louie, and their two boys, Konnor and Hudson. When she's not in the classroom, you can find her cheering from the bleachers at her boys' sporting events, tending to her chaos garden, tackling fun and crafty DIY projects, or spending quality time with her family.
Ms. Tammy is passionate about sharing the Gospel with her precious students while channeling her inner Mrs. Frizzle to create a classroom where learning is filled with joy, curiosity, and adventure. She loves bringing lessons to life through hands-on activities, creativity, a good outfit, and plenty of fun! She can't wait to inspire her students to learn, grow, and discover all the amazing things God has created at Concord Preschool this year.

Brandy lives in Dawsonville, GA with her family. She joined Concord Preschool is 2004 and has enjoyed teaching each age group here at Concord. Brandy loves to share her love of God and Jesus with her students. When she is not teaching she likes to travel with her husband and spend time with her family. She and her family are long time members of Mt. Tabor church.

Emili Bailey

Emili is so excited to begin her first year of teaching at Concord Preschool! She is a Forsyth County native, born and raised, and now lives in Dawsonville with her family.
Her daughter, Sicily, began her Concord journey in the 2’s class and will be in the 3’s class this upcoming school year. Watching Sicily grow and thrive at Concord has made this community especially meaningful to their family.
Emili and her family are members of Oak Grove Baptist Church, and she feels truly blessed to be joining the Concord Preschool family. She is looking forward to getting to know each child, building relationships with your families, and making this a fun, loving, and memorable year of learning together!

Mackinsey Fields

Mackinsey was born and raised in Forsyth County and graduated from Forsyth Central High School. She was previously a young toddler teacher at Primrose School. She still lives in Forsyth County with her husband, Kyle and three children; Jackson, Jace, and Arley. She and her family are active members of Friendship Baptist Church. Mackinsey assisted in our 2 year old classes last school year and is is excited to be leading a 3 year old class this school year..

Sierra Pleysier

Sierra has a degree in Finance from North Georgia College and State University. She and her husband Aron have two boys who have both attended Concord Preschool. Sierra and her husband are members at Concord Baptist Church, where she enjoys helping in nursery and VBS. Sierra loves spending time with her family, Braves baseball, and learning about God’s Word.

Margaret is Concord's "Grandma". She kept children in her home for twenty one years before coming to work here at Concord Preschool in 2009. She has lived in Forsyth County almost her entire life. Margaret and her husband, Mike, have two grown children and five grandchildren. She has worked as a lead for our two year old class and now assists with our two year old class. She and her family are active members of Concord Baptist Church.

Anni is excited to be joining the Concord Preschool family as a Lead Teacher in the 2 year old class. Anni was born and raised in Cumming, Ga. and graduated from Forsyth Central High School. She and her husband, Thomas, have a 10 month old son, Rowan. Their family attends Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Working with young children has always been a passion of hers because she loves watching them learn, grow, and discover the world around them. She is especially excited to help each child feel loved and welcome while sharing the love of Jesus each day.

My name is Mariela Castrejon. My husband and I have been married for 16 years, and we are blessed with two wonderful boys. By the grace of God, both of us were raised in Christian families, and attending church has always been an important part of our lives. We are committed to teaching our children about God’s love and guiding them in their faith. I was baptized at the age of 13 and have had the privilege of serving as a Sunday school teacher. Together, my husband and I also worked with the youth ministry for six years. In our free time, we enjoy going hiking and spending time outdoors.
Last year had the opportunity to work at Creekside Christian Academy as an assistant teacher.
Now I am thankful that I have the opportunity to join Concord Baptist church preschool family.

Angela Ashford

Angela was born and raised in Georgia and holds a degree in Marketing. She and her husband have been married for 23 years and are proud parents to three wonderful children—a 21-year-old daughter, a 19-year-old daughter, and an 11-year-old son.
Eleven years ago, Angela and her family moved to Forsyth. Her youngest attended Concord Baptist Preschool, where she fell in love with Concord.
Angela and her family attend Local Church Forsyth, where she has spent the past eight years teaching Sunday school to preschoolers. She absolutely LOVES children. Children bring her so much joy, and she feels blessed to spend time helping them learn, grow, and experience God’s love.
When she’s not teaching, Angela loves making memories with her family. Some of their favorite things include family vacations to the beach and Disney, playing UNO, Yahtzee...
Angela also loves cheering on her kids in all their sports.

Amanda is so excited to be a part of the Concord preschool family this year! She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from the University of North Georgia. Amanda then taught first grade in Forsyth County Schools for 6 years. After having her oldest, she stayed at home for 8 years. God blessed her and her husband, Heath, with 4 children, Lilly Belle (9), Isaac (7), Olivia (4), and Owen (4). All of Amanda’s children attended Concord Preschool and her twins, Olivia and Owen, are currently in Pre-k here. Amanda and Heath are youth group leaders at their church, Crossroads Baptist Church, and love serving the Lord! She is SO excited to be a part of such a loving preschool family and can’t wait to love on these preschool babies!

Carla was born and raised in Cumming, Ga. She has been married for 27 years to her husband Steve. She has a bonus daughter Katelin(33) & is blessed with 3 grand kids. She also has a son Jessup(24) & a daughter Jaspyr(16). She spends her extra time going to her daughter’s Cheer Competitions & wrestling meets for her school. Enjoying her church family & activities at Cumming Second Baptist.

Hi, everyone! My name is Lexi Kennedy. I grew up in Dalonega, and now live in Forsyth County with my husband, Dalton, and our daughter, Eloise. I attended the University of North Georgia, and I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in elementary and special education. Before joining Concord Preschool, I taught 4th grade in Dawson County for three years. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, attending our church, baking, and being outdoors! I am excited to be a part of the Concord family this year!
