In Matthew 27:51 we read that the veil, which separated the people from the presence of God, was torn in two at the death of Jesus. His death gave us access to talk directly to Him and to be in a direct relationship. There was no longer a need for a priest to intercede on our behalf. Jesus himself became our mediator (1 Tim 2:5-6). As a result, we have been given free access to our Heavenly Father. Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore, come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” The word for boldness carries the meaning of freedom to speak or frankness with speaking. Be honest with God. You are not hiding anything from Him. God is Omniscient, which means he is all-knowing. You do not have to speak with a public voice when you talk to God. Just have a conversation with Him. Share your emotions, even if it is anger at God. Are you bitter about a situation? Talk to God about it. Do you not understand a situation and have lots of questions? Share those with Him. Enter into his presence with Boldness, openness, and confidence. He is God and He is big enough to handle our feelings. Furthermore, he cares and wants to hear from us. God wants to walk with us through life, both big and little moments. In the process of talking with God, we find mercy and grace. We may not get the answer or action that we desire, but we know that God cares and that he is there with us. Take time now and share with God where you are in your walk with Him, you will be blessed in the process.
