Dr. Scott T. Gilbert
Senior Pastor
Pastor Scott was born and raised in Forsyth County, GA. He received a BA in Information Systems from the University of Georgia; an MDiv from New Orleans Theological Seminary; a DM from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He was called to pastor Concord Baptist Church in February 2013 after a nine-year tenure at Castleberry Road Baptist Church. He has twenty-nine years of ministry experience and twenty years of pastoral experience between the two tenures. Pastor Scott and his wife, Kendra have three daughters.
Dr. Charles W. Penland
Youth Pastor
Chip was born and raised in Gainesville, GA. He received an MDiv from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and a D. Min.. from Beeson Divinity School. He served as a pastor on staff responsible for a Deaf congregation in Memphis, TN for ten years. Chip and his wife, Traci have three children.
Mr. Eric Tippens
Worship Leader
Eric was born and raised in Alpharetta (Milton) Georgia. He received a BBA Finance degree from Kennesaw State University and a Master of Church Music (Choral Conducting/Orchestra emphasis) degree from Lee University in Cleveland TN.
Eric is now in his 25th consecutive year of ministry serving a few local North Georgia area churches before joining the Concord Team in February 2020. He is dating Ms. Alison Holmes (Jasper GA) who also serves in various ministry and music education endeavors.
Mrs. Dana Hallman
Pastoral Assistant
Dana is from Gainesville, Georgia. She is a wife and mother of five. She enjoys serving the Lord by ministering to the people of Concord through her administrative duties. She first trusted Jesus as her Savior at the age of nine after hearing the Gospel during VBS. Her most beloved Scriptures are Matthew 6:26-34 and Romans chapter 8. She believes in the power of prayer and earnestly desires that you pray over her family. When time permits you can find her baking, quilting, antique/thrift store browsing, or tending to her vegetable garden and laying hens.
Mrs. Kellie Durden
Children's Ministry Director
Kellie was born in Birmingham, AL and moved to Georgia at age 7. She attended the University of South Florida, where she received her Bachelor's of Science in Education, along with her ESOL endorsement. Kellie has been an elementary school teacher since 2005. She has a heart for children and a desire to see them become life-long followers of Christ. Kellie and her husband, Andy, have three sons.
Mrs. Shannon Gilbert
Preschool Director
Shannon was born in Decatur, GA; raised in Forsyth County. She received a BBA in Finance from the University of Georgia and Georgia State. Shannon and her husband, Tommy have a son and daughter
She has served as director of the Concord Baptist Church Preschool since August 2004. Shannon also provides financial administrative support to the church.
